Dear Mom and Dad,

Children are brilliant! 
Whenever I spend time with children, we turn off electronics and use our imaginations to go on journeys.  It is so rewarding to witness the amazing ideas flowing from their open minds.  Children are happy, creative and more confident when utilizing their imaginations.

Welcome to Blue Diamond Bay and the adventures of FloraLoraAnnaLynn, a fun, sassy girl.  Flora always does her homework and chores before play.  Eating healthy is also demonstrated in each book; these good habits are part of Flora's everyday journey. 

Each journey also has a Coloring/Activity Book available.  Children can color in Flora's drawings from her journey to the castle AND enjoy taking their own imagination journeys.  I encourage children to share the pictures they create from their own journeys with us on Flora's website.  Each picture will be displayed in our Art Gallery​ - check it out!

As you will see, these artists are between the ages of 3 and 14 years old.  Never in my imagination did I think older children would engage with FloraLoraAnnaLynn, yet these children (10- 14) were very inspired.  It was my longest reading event and so humbling.  This special teacher, who invited me, was using her remarkable imagination to see past the age obstacles I perceived.  

Using our imaginations is one of our most powerful tools - everything ever invented started with the spark of someone’s imagination!  Every law passed started with the spark of someone’s imagination.  I hope to inspire children (and adults) to engage more outside the on-line world and appreciate the magic of being present in the natural world.  ​Thank you so much for reading this post.  I look forward to hearing from you.  If you would like to share this website with others, I  would be grateful.
